She paints outdoors and in-studio; balancing spontaneity with discipline. Her chosen medium diverges between acrylic, oil, and gouache, but she often chooses to practice with mural work, painted animation, and public installation. Diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at age 10, her art became a way to process pain and connect with herself and her relationship with her somatic, emotional, and mental experience. She also uses her work to contemplate her interconnection with the living spaces and people around her; which includes both natural and digital landscapes. Her interdisciplinary practice is a hybrid of surrealism, abstraction, and impressionism to explore how environments shape and reflect our inner emotional landscapes, and how our inner worlds seek to shape the environment in return. “There is nothing more truly artistic than to love people.” -Vincent Van Gogh @christeen.awad.art contact@christeenawad.com https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/1642040337012-C2R8IVPNYLG2OGF9KNBP/7EFEC2A0-9B80-4F53-9362-2C81BCC2D8F5.gif About https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/1642040281347-OLBF1DURHGV0NYGL37DG/44D2BB78-0CDA-41EF-A67F-0C8BB824A49E.jpeg About https://www.christeenawad.com/home daily 1.0 2025-05-27 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/1587159867463-X79LYKN3ORCW5F5Z602N/Screenshot_20200416-235234_Instagram.jpg Home https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/794b764c-a092-45de-8fde-4ec863dfc4b9/DSCF0348-2.jpg Home https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/899d86ba-0396-4cc4-8cc1-7664d5cd7886/ChristeenAwad_HuronSquare.jpg Home https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/f0c99a82-e6c1-47af-8022-322dd98b610e/PXL_20250517_231009858.jpg Home https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/1645919189491-G7Y77D3QMRHD05ETEUJM/4AD3CCC2-835B-4ED1-9453-224A298909BD.gif Home https://www.christeenawad.com/commissions daily 0.75 2024-11-04 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/671fc9b1-e8a3-4d7b-920f-03b8d0eeb4ad/PXL_20241028_235209711.MP.jpg Commissions https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/1730696335148-IUKRIYTA0X0W47KCNN3G/1729718625442-4d0f40e8-34ee-4d81-983a-702ff4e869a3_.jpg Commissions https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/1730696509751-VD0HETIB8NKVT1LQ9AN6/1729718717139-53b43493-8827-4141-b3df-f6a13334d202_.jpg Commissions https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/1730696603630-UAJCLW7E05C04OQDSY0S/1729722331900-66330a06-ed58-435a-8a0a-f0684691e192_.jpg Commissions https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/a84d59f0-a8db-4e2e-9061-7cdb55a5704b/0D53A0BE-62A6-4DC1-BBFC-F61538F6EAE8.jpeg Commissions Acrylic https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/ec877ed8-6598-4f87-9ca7-f552142b74f0/38A70445-E6FC-47F2-BC8E-9FC0D46FA48F.jpeg Commissions https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/2d3fcdb0-4781-46f9-8b1e-dfbd5a93c5b9/7A3DFFB9-96BD-4AAF-B993-02A5F18BA36D.jpeg Commissions Watercolour and Ink https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/baa3520e-3b23-4910-8d30-47e45b3c0a5f/F74A7F3B-666D-436E-A5DD-6DC12BAE9676.jpeg Commissions Watercolour and Ink https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/1614991408428-K9KDCY643YK5YKDPHPJF/Synth+Modder.jpg Commissions https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/0388dc1b-ae27-460d-9ae8-717bc86b3df8/08EBEB02-E85D-4FE7-B985-2F80D90C73BE.jpeg Commissions watercolour https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/825c1546-edfa-4e1f-98a8-7e7cf7f5804d/50597EE2-87EE-40AC-AA2E-BFD4B0BB8C50.jpeg Commissions https://www.christeenawad.com/shop daily 0.75 2025-06-26 https://www.christeenawad.com/shop/workshops monthly 0.5 2025-06-26 https://www.christeenawad.com/original-artwork daily 0.75 2023-06-15 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/449c7abd-352c-4ac6-b134-9df07659a308/ChristeenAwad_GrangePark%28unedited%29.jpg Original Artwork https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/e0b2d0bf-7479-4c09-907b-6200171dbc70/ChristeenAwad_LakeScugog.jpg Original Artwork https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/4c9b7562-f48e-4573-b344-76ca11a768c5/ChristeenAwad_OntarioPlace.jpg Original Artwork https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/899d86ba-0396-4cc4-8cc1-7664d5cd7886/ChristeenAwad_HuronSquare.jpg Original Artwork https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/0d7b1498-dc0e-4b85-9dfe-44640c572044/ChristeenAwad_OntarioPlace2.jpg Original Artwork https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/1645744738001-6BAHZF0NVKQ7SN4KMN89/0591D319-7853-4CDB-8D7D-01C72E401057 Original Artwork https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/1645659828874-5RZ5D7G2VNKTYPQKMZUI/7EA5D8E0-C93A-475E-B687-D7AE288832FE Original Artwork https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e62bf6c0d7ee44bc16edf94/1614991979772-CMKZFA1VY65Y7SHO31OT/IMG_1695.jpeg Original Artwork -
